(February 5, 2015) More Michigan students are taking online learning courses than ever. According to Michigan’s K-12 Virtual Learning Effectiveness Report, 2013-14, over 76,000 students took more than 319,000 virtual courses last school year. The report, published by Michigan Virtual Learning Research Institute, highlights enrollment totals, completion rates and the overall impact of virtual courses on K-12 students. It includes demographic data about the students participating and indicators that might influence completion/pass rates. If you want a better understanding of what is happening and where virtual learning is going, or want to boost success rates for students taking virtual courses, it’s well worth taking a look.
