(July 24, 2015) Due to a change in business rules the data for the 2011-2012 school year has been recalculated and is now available for view. Originally, the 2011-2012 mobility data included graduated students. CEPI corrected the error and reloaded the historical data on July 13, 2015.
The Student Mobility report shows counts of students who have changed schools within a given school year. These reports can help districts identify which students or groups of students have high mobility counts. It can help a school understand if there are patterns with certain types of students who are more mobile; this information may be used to help meet the needs of these students. This report also compares the counts of mobile students to the counts of stable students for the selected educational entity.
If you have used this report to analyze your district’s mobility trends, you may wish to generate a new report with the corrected data. Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the way we connect K-12 data.
